Seed Grants

The Institute of Health Resilience and Innovation is accepting applications for its 2025–2026 Seed Grant Opportunities, designed to spark innovative research that strengthens health and well-being across the lifespan.

Pre-Dissertation Seed Grants (Early Stage PhD Students) – Up to $2,500 for early-stage PhD students to pilot ideas and build toward dissertation research.

Dissertation Seed Grants(PhD Students) – Up to $5,000 for PhD candidates to advance dissertation research.

Faculty Seed Grants (Faculty) – Up to $10,000 for Rice faculty to generate pilot data and strengthen external grant proposals
